Guest prep guide

One scar. Four numbers. One handoff.

Five minutes of reading that changes what we can build together in the interview.

The conversation

How the episode takes shape

We open on an idea, move through how you got into the work, examine what failed, explain how the work functions in plain English, and finish with trust, controls, results, and what a listener should do next.

Roughly 48 minutes.
01

Something that did not work

Bring one specific attempt that failed and what it cost. Not the industry pattern. Yours. A good scar is often the most useful thing you will share.

02

Four real numbers

What did it cost? How long until something changed? What moved before and after? Did it affect headcount, cycle time, or both? Honest ballparks are fine.

03

Something you handed off

Bring one task AI now handles, plus the check you perform before accepting the output. The check is the part listeners can use.

Ground rules

No gotchas. No product demo.

You will see every question in advance. Chris may challenge one part of your argument, but it is a discussion, not an ambush. The pre-interview takes about 25 minutes and never airs.
